Product Description

Upright Float
Triangular shaped ring made from polyester fabric and filled with polystyrene beads. Velcro opening that allows for waist adjustment. Easy to put on and take off. Offers stable support for trunk exercises. Provides under arm support as well as shoulder and neck support.

We have 3 sizes of Upright Floats. Since the body is buoyant in the water, a person’s weight is not of major consideration. The Upright Float fits under the armpits of a swimmer just like a swim ring. So the important consideration is chest size. The internal circumference of the 3 upright floats are as follows:

Small: 28 inches (appropriate for child 5-10 years)
Medium: 35 inches (appropriate for adolescent to medium size adult)
Large: 40 inches (larger adult around 220lbs)

Wearing this float is a personal thing in so far as comfort. Some people like floats that are more fitted and other swimmers like floats that are looser around their bodies. However, this float fits snugly into the body as the beads can be “plumped" in parts where more buoyancy or support is needed. It is a very comfortable float for swimmers who have difficulty in holding their heads up for any period of time and have the need for extra support behind the head, neck and shoulders. The large pillow enables the swimmer to remain in an upright position in the water and maintain eye contact with friends.

An immensely sociable float.

Please note that this float is made to order and ships from Australia, consequently please allow a 3-4 week lead time from point of order.

Can be used in conjunction with Hip Float (item 9308).

Our Fabric Floats provide the swimmer with excellent support for the neck, hips and knees. They are made from specially designed and manufactured fabric which is tough, chlorine resistant, latex free and easy to clean. This range of soft and comfortable to wear floats is Australian made and forms the basis for many aquatic techniques. Please note that these floats are to be used under the supervision of a qualified professional. Fabric floats are not to be regarded as a life preserver.
